Macro Photography Depth of Field Tips

Why shouldn’t you shoot macro shots wide open? Bc then only one prong on a diamond ring will be in focus. With macro shots the depth of field is (or seems) more shallow then when you’re not photographing a macro close up. 😳 - Now, I will say I don’t think it’s “wrong” to photograph macro photography wide open IF that’s what you want to do and it achieves your goals of realizing the image in your mind. You’re the artist. Your camera setting options are infinite and they are YOUR choice. 📷 But if you want more in focus than that piece of fuzz that’s stuck in a diamond engagement ring prong - you’ll need to start setting your aperture to 5.6 or higher. 💍 - What are your macro photography camera settings or questions?? I’m here to help! 😁 -
