The Travel Mum
A group of individuals, likely students and instructors, are engaged in an outdoor wilderness training session or educational activity in a jungle setting. The scene takes place inside a rustic, circular structure made of natural materials, with a thatched roof and woven walls that allow sunlight to filter through. Several people are seated on benches or the ground, some listening attentively while others demonstrate or receive hands-on instruction. The setting appears to be deep within a lush, tropical jungle environment, providing an immersive and authentic backdrop for learning survival skills and wilderness medicine. The image conveys a sense of adventure, practical learning, and a connection with nature.

Wilderness Medicine Training in the Jungle

Teaching students Jungle first aid, in the jungle ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป Lessons went from treating snake bites to basic life support to fire building, water sourcing to learning how to use GPS and locate hidden sweets ๐Ÿ˜œ . . If any medics are interested in getting into wilderness medicine, particularly Jungle, get in touch and Iโ€™ll put you in contact with this company I worked with this summer. You will be the sole medic for a big camp in the middle of the jungle, you get to offer daily teaching to the students who visit, plus get to join in with scientists doing conservation work with the local plant and wildlife (while offering medical care to anyone who gets sick!) You sleep in a hammock or tent, no showers, basic toilets. Itโ€™s a really cool experience and you meet loads of great people. Iโ€™ll be going back next summer for sure ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป . . . . .
