The Blumes
A lone hiker, wearing a backpack and hat, stands on a rocky outcrop in the foreground, dwarfed by the towering sandstone cliffs of the Grand Canyon in the background. The image is in black and white, lending a timeless and dramatic quality to the scene. The hiker appears to be taking in the breathtaking view of the vast canyon, its layered rock formations carved out by the winding Colorado River over millions of years. The contrast between the tiny human figure and the immense natural wonder emphasizes the overwhelming scale and majesty of this iconic American landscape.

My First

Got time for a #FridayIntroduction? It's my first ever. So "hello!" It's lovely to meet you. :)⠀ .⠀ I'm just a guy who gratefully gets to travel while doing exactly what I love for a living (photography and teaching!), and I get to do it alongside the most beautiful woman in the world, my amazing wife, @eileen_blume. (You should check her out, too...err, but not like that!) Together we parent three beautiful kids whom God has blessed us with.⠀ .⠀ Eileen and I are just crazy enough to believe art can change the world. We're pretty entrepreneurial (at least I am, and Eileen balances me perfectly by supporting me while keeping me grounded). We shoot mostly weddings and portraits, but our first priority remains charitable projects that aid children in extreme poverty.⠀ .⠀ I'm also a monthly contributor to Shutter Magazine. If you're a photographer, you probably know it! (Pick up an issue in any Barnes & Noble if you don't.)⠀ .⠀ Do you know ComeUnity workshops? That's us as well. We speak at a bunch of industry events, or you may have seen us on CreativeLIVE. Since we adopted last year, we've been taking it slower lately. But we'll be back on the road at WPPI, Inspire, and ShutterFest next! (See you there? Shout out below if you'll be there, too!)⠀ .⠀ We want to inspire other artists not only to be successful, but also to change the world through your work. How? I think we did a pretty good job of summarizing it in a recent TEDx Talk we gave; you can find the video on our Website if you like Ted Talks! #linkinbio .⠀ Oh, and that's me at the Grand Canyon. Just got back from hiking, camping, and photo shoots there. Can't wait to show you more!⠀ .⠀ I'm starting to get more serious about Instagram finally, so I hope you'll join me on the journey here! :)⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀
