Reclaiming Wonders
Two gray wolves are perched atop a weathered wooden shed structure amidst a forested setting. The wolves, with their distinctive pointed ears and fur coats blending shades of gray and tan, stand tall and alert on the shed's roof. The surrounding trees are bare, indicating a winter season. The shed itself appears aged and rustic, constructed from rough-hewn boards. Scattered rocks and a small clearing can be seen in the foreground.

Wolves and Other Wildlife at Western North Carolina Nature Center

Red wolves. And coyotes and black bears and gray wolves and a screech owl talk and all sorts of native species. Granted, we saw them at a zoo, but it’s the most animal action we’ve seen in North Carolina. Did you know there are only an estimated thirty red wolves left? And I saw two today. So percentage wise... We drove to Asheville to use my ASTC membership to get in free to the #westernnorthcarolinanaturecenter . And to see the town afterward. We checked out the Black Friday madness downtown and left ;) Not doing that.
