Parenting Struggles: Humor in Challenging Family Moments
Raise your hand if you wanted to drop kick your kids across the town square…. 🙋♀️Anyone other than me?
“Awww, look at Bobbie posing with her favoritest gnomes.”
Nope. 🛑
This photo is called “Last memory of unappreciative children arguing over which spoiled brat had to carry the backpack with two water bottles that they were all sharing after Mom dared to let them have homemade pastries and fruit at the Fayetteville Farmer’s Market.”
I took the backpack.
Carried it briefly.
On top of my @kavu .
Then let it drop to the asphalt and walked away until one of the underserving children cared enough to go back and pick it up.
Family travels.
It’s not all sunshine and roses. 🌹☀️🤗
Hang with me long enough and maybe I’ll tell you about the child who slapped her sister with her flip flop at intermission because she dared to take a bite of her cookie. To which big sister slapped her back. Gave the row in front of us a good show.
Just gonna sit here and pretend I’m that last gnome chillin’ on the bench with my guitar… and that I play the guitar… or am ever alone… 😂
👉Solidarity, Friends. Tell me your drop kick story. Remind me I’m not the only one. 😉
