Introducing Rosa Parks to the Next Generation

Montgomery Bus Boycott. Rosa Parks. That’s definitely what my history mind turns to. . The life sized statue of her opposite the Court Street Fountain in downtown Montgomery is almost hard to see - at the site of her arrest for saying, “No.” . Several blocks away, the Rosa Parks Museum is so well done. With several immersive exhibits, you watch her bus encounter through projectors and a bus before moving on to plaques about the Civil Rights Movement. . I feel like we already knew Ms. Rosa from all the great picture books out there - so great to see the real life places. . Montgomery, Alabama has so much important American history! Don’t overlook this city.
