Hornbill Fun at the Zoo

Part two for today’s memorable #atlantazoo adventure involved these hornbills... which will all be called Meghans for the rest of her life due to playing ZaZu last year in the Lion King. I walk up the H to find that his new eye level bird friend is very intently bringing him his dead mouse to show him. Wants to push it through the glass to get it to him. To which Mrs. Hornbill sees the action and then offers K a stick she picks up off the cage floor. Hilarious. We cracked up. We’re excited to see them next time and see if this is their normal personalities. And we managed to find a whole road in the zoo that we’ve managed to overlook. Which is good since C told me that was his goal for this trip - to find something he’d never seen before. And we found their favorite bald eagle! In the cage with his trainer being fed fish parts. Severa of them would like to own one despite knowing they can’t. We were very excited to read the chart about their population growth since being declared endangered and how they’re off the list now! Aka #realworldmath Sign. We do love zoos.
