Homeschooling: Figuring It Out as We Go
Ten years. That’s how long we’ve been living this homeschool life. 📚🌳🚐
And I’m still getting the questions.
And doubts from well-meaning others that we’re giving the kids the best education.
“But how will you teach them…?”
Physics. Calculus…
Why is it always the math courses?

.
Think about the last thing you learned.
❓How to change the car air filter.
❓How to bake a potato in the air fryer.
❓How to take better photos.
❓How to organize your closet.
❓How to choose the best hiking equipment.
Did you attend a lecture?
Did you go to class?
You figured it how to learn it.
That’s what I’m doing.
👍Raising kids who know how to learn and figure things out.
(Under the guidance of Mom and Dad and other adults.)
Textbooks. YouTube. Khan Academy. Library. Podcasts. Tutors. Peer discussions.
Endless options.
Thanks for your concern.
But I think we’re doing just fine.
Sorry for the snark. 🤷♀️
I know I’m not the only one feeling it as school starts again this fall.
👉Consider this your “shareable” snark that points back to me and not you.
And to all you parents choosing a different path for your kids than that which others may “approve”….
❤️You’ve got this!
