My new favorite outing for the kids? Home Depot. Big kids beg to go. Today they had to have paper to write down the future house plans, pricing, compare appliances, inspect benefits of different ventilation hoods, and gather paint samples. We left armed with textbooks (aka kitchen planning manuals) and schemes to gather newspaper inserts to have prices. And oh the excitement as Meghan devoured the feee newspaper in our driveway at home and pulled out ads. They are now in her planning binder. Next step... to find home schematics....practice measuring... writing it all out... coming up with house budget. The options are endless.
