Reclaiming Wonders
A lone person is standing on a snowy path winding through a serene, snow-covered forest. The path leads into the distance, where a hazy mountain town can be seen nestled among majestic, snow-capped peaks. The person is wearing a bright red jacket and a yellow hat, standing out against the white backdrop of snow and the muted greens and browns of the evergreen trees lining the path. The scene exudes a sense of tranquility and natural beauty, inviting the viewer to slow down, appreciate the wonders of nature, and savor the moment.

Appreciating Nature's Wonders

Savor. Slow down. Intentionality. I know I talk history all the time, but let’s talk science… I spent years studying it after all. Might as well use that degree for something. 😁 Undergrad in Biochemistry. Grad school for physician assistant. More than a decade explaining to patients how their bodies work. Yet, every time I pull my medical stuff back out and study the amazing processes of our bodies… The miracle of it all hits me again. 🌎This is why we show our kids the wonders of our world. 🧠This is why we show them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. 🏔️This is why we stand next to the ocean or echo across the mountains. 👀We just have to look. And be in awe. . . . #hereisourhomeschool wants to see my science. My kids have never had a “science” curriculum. Real life is all the homeschool science my kids experience until middle school other than CC memory work songs. . Explore and talk and learn about our world. That’s enough.❤️ . . . “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬ . . 📸Year ago; Jan 2022; Keystone, Colorado A fabulous day spent wandering in the snowy forest. . 👉When was the last time you slowed down enough to just be… in… awe? ❤️ . . . . .
