History Repeating: A Reflection on Civil Unrest

Current news re-enacted in books. History connected to today. This happened during morning time. The day after the Capitol was breached. So fitting. . . Do you think the people who caused mayhem knew that the last time was 200 years ago by a foreign country during war?! Does that make Monday’s events more significant as a sign of insurrection not patriotic demonstration? Does teaching our kids history make them better prepared for their lives and their decisions? . . I had reserved these books months ago and they just now came in. Fortuitous? I like to think God has better things to do than to arrange my library hauls... but you never know. I do know, however, that we processed much better having these books the day after ;)
