Historic Jamestowne: Where History Comes Alive
Favorite family field trip? Hard decision, but (for now) I’m going with Historic Jamestowne Settlement.
Meet the Historic Triangle: Jamestown, Yorktown, and Williamsburg.
Yet, with all that greatness in just one area, this one place stood out because it was so full of history. I have never found another place as full of opportunities for a kid with a love of archeology.
🧭Experience the current dig site.
🧭Watch the resident archeologists pull an artifact out of the ground and show it to you.
🧭Visit the artifact museum.
🧭Learn how the original Jamestown boundaries have shifted with the tide.
🧭Peer down into the basement where evidence of their starving was found.
🧭Stand near the place where Pocahantas met James Smith.
❤️Meet amazing grown ups who love history as much as you do - and are spending their lives finding more answers.
PS: If your kids aren’t into history, maybe they just haven’t been to some amazing places yet. Gotta make history come alive. 🤓
