Reclaiming Wonders
A young child with reddish-blonde hair, wearing a colorful tie-dye long-sleeved shirt, is seated on the floor in a kitchen or dining area. They are intently focused on slicing or chopping something on a bright red plastic cutting board placed on the floor in front of them. Around the cutting board are several plump, ripe tomatoes, suggesting they may be preparing ingredients for guacamole or salsa. The child appears fully engaged in this culinary task, despite the mention of homework difficulties in the accompanying text.

Guacamole Making Over Homework

When it’s too difficult to do homework, but guacamole making is a priority ;) . . He got a real cast yesterday and had to have the bone slightly smooshed back in place... Not a fan of that. And then we get to go back again next Friday. He’s doing well other than being frustrated by what he can’t do. When you’re an active kid, you don’t sit well. . . As Mom, I see how he’s processing some emotions. And praying that gets better soon! As a PA, I see that I should have been addressing not only the kid’s trauma but that of the parents. Learning it first hand! Thanks for the prayers!
