Girl Scout Camp Adventures

“Join Girl Scouts,” they say. And I said no for several years. But I just admit, with all stubborn pride still in place, that it’s been a good year for my Girl Scout. This week was her first week at camp: kayaking, creek walking, horse painting, crafting… lots of sweating in 95 degree weather. I asked her if she wanted to do it again next year, and she whole-heartedly nodded her head. She’s bonded with already-friends and giggled her way into new friends. Friday meetings are a favorite time of the week. And it’s been good for us because that’s dedicated time for just Mom and K. Thanks @imjanesdaughter and @evajbone for encouraging us to join.
