Gardening Brothers' Harmony
Don’t you love how a captured moment tells you so much? At least through Momma’s eyes.
.
.
You see two boys watering a plant.
.
.
I see a big brother who loves to teach but also tends to get bossy - thus the finger. Who is in charge of the flower beds but also smart enough to see free help. Who figured out how to transplant this stonecrop to cover more surface without me. Who is patient when he chooses to be. And who takes it so seriously that he has his rain boots on. That and the every present Bucees hat and one of his shirts he wears every three days or so. And I know his fingers are caked with garden dirt. His normal.
.
.
And I see a little brother who just discovered the joy of digging a hole for a plant and asks me daily what he can go plant. Who wants to be included no matter. Who just goes along with being told to do stuff. Who is proud of even the little he has done. And who is wearing his self-proclaimed “basketball outfit” that I had to demand he change because he still wanted to wear it to go eat pizza even though it was covered in dirt.
.
.
I’m watching to see how long this team works in harmony, and if little brother’s prayers tonight are thankful again for the awesome day because people didn’t fight 🥰
