Reclaiming Wonders
The image consists of 16 identical close-up portraits of a young child with short blonde hair and a radiant smile, appearing happy and joyful. The child's eyes are closed in some of the frames, while in others, they are wide open, revealing a bright and cheerful expression. The portraits are arranged in a grid-like format against a gray background with small white star-like patterns. Based on the accompanying text, these portraits were taken on the child's first day of homeschool orientation, capturing the joy and excitement of embarking on a new educational journey.

First Day of Homeschool Portraits

And here’s my first day of (almost ) school picture as taken by the kid who was entertaining himself while we watched our writing videos (aka Pudewa). I say almost as it was orientation and not official class... that means we get to try again next Monday ;) However, the nervous kids I took in to the church building today who didn’t know about the kids or friends they might meet were a lot different from the giggling kids giving hugs when I picked them up. You gotta appreciate the beauty of how quickly kids can jump right in... while squeezing together on the pew because there are too many who want to sit together. And to tell blessing of meeting in a church. And starting with prayer. And knowing I will be okay with my kids’ friends’ moms before I ever meet them because... I just will. Have yet to meet a homeschool mom who I didn’t approve of ;) Here’s to another year of #classicalconversations In our new community in our new community. And so glad to see that school bus drive right on by my house this morning ;)
