Reclaiming Wonders
A group of children and one adult are posing for a selfie outside a movie theater. The adult, a smiling woman wearing glasses and a NASA t-shirt, is taking the picture. Behind her are four children, two girls and two boys, all smiling and making playful gestures. Two of the children are pointing at the movie posters displayed on the theater's front windows, which advertise the films 'Cruella' starring Emma Stone and 'Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway.' The scene captures a fun family outing to the movies.

Family Movie Outing

Cousin time at the movie - and late birthday adventure! I read the reviews of Cruella and felt okay seeing it. And still feel okay about it afterward. The kids all liked it. . . Honestly, we questioned why it’s rated PG-13 other than it’s a little “dark”. I think they might have said hell once. She beats people up but no blood or gore. There are police called. It’s not a comedy. I would say, if you’re hesitant, read some reviews, but take them with a grain of salt. It’s not bad. . . I’ve seen people calling it “evil”. If your kids have seen Lord of the Rings (which so many think is okay), this show has nothing on creepy orcs and Gollum. That’s my comparison 😂 My littler kids were never scared in Cruella, and they left LOTR. . . There’s not much out there to watch at the movies. I’m not paying big bucks for Peter Rabbit 😂. And the world needs some outings and popcorn - that’s the whole reason anyway, right?
