Family Beach Day on Maui

Give me some whales to watch through my binoculars, a chair, and some shade, and I do love the beach ;). Everytime I scanned the horizon, there were several spouts and tails flapping. I watched one pod of 4 or 5 for several minutes. It’s birthing season so there are moms and calves all over. . . Kahekili beach on the west side of Maui was our home base for a couple of hours of boogie boarding... on rocks... sometimes Mom-sense doesn’t prevail. . . Tree swings looking out to the ocean... I’ll think of these tree-lined beaches next time I’m baking in the sun. And remember that Daddy always makes beach time more fun!
