Exploring Darwin's Extraordinary Adventures

“Charles felt that his notions did not disprove God in the least but in fact made God more powerful... he had written that if species had changed over time, then who else but God could make things happen in such a marvelous way? And in another secret notebook, he wrote that we should praise God for this power.” One Beetle Too Many: The Extraordinary Adventures Of Charles Darwin by Kathryn Lasky We really liked this book; the first I have of Darwin picture books. The pictures are amazing. This is our first of several picture books we have planned about Darwin. It touched on earth formation and survival of the fittest and changes on islands of the Galapagos and travel around the world... Brought so many conversations. Has anyone read this? I’d love to know your thoughts and how accurate this book is. It does mention that he denies Christ in his writing but obviously points to God the Creator. Trying to teach the kids facts about Darwin and his impact. Not just what people inaccurately preach against him. As we CC timeline sing, “Darwin and the Origin of Species” ... need to learn what that means.
