Reclaiming Wonders
A serene porch scene with a hammock inviting relaxation and respite. The porch has a high, beadboard ceiling with ceiling fans providing a gentle breeze. White columns support the roof, creating an airy, open space. A colorful, striped hammock hangs between two columns, swaying gently in the wind. Outside, lush greenery and tall trees surround the porch, offering a verdant, natural backdrop. The bright blue sky peeks through the trees, hinting at a beautiful day perfect for lounging and enjoying the tranquil surroundings.

Embrace Tranquility: Relax on the Porch

You’re too busy. We fill up our schedules with nonessentials. Feel “guilty” for doing nothing. Don’t allow a break to just sit and read and listen to the birds. Have to have a sick fever day after that second Covid shot to allow ourselves to lay in the hammock - merely hypothetical 😁 . . Rest. Get stuff off your plate. Overlook the mess and go read your book. . . A wise friend quoted to me a couple days ago — “Only boring women have clean houses.” I love it. New life motto. 🤔 . . In the meantime, I’m gonna work on silencing the constant inner dialogue telling me what I “should” be doing and just sit with my book. The mess will be there later, so I can fuss now or in two hours, right? . . God rested. Made the Sabbath. And told me to be more like Him. . . Drop mike 🎤
