Exploring Colonial Courtrooms and Patrick Henry's Influence

Did you know Chief Justices were the lead Justice all the way back to colonial times? And that “approaching the bench” used to be an actual bench where they sat? It was so interesting to visit one of our earliest court systems during this time of Supreme Court drama. . . And a reminder to me how little I really know of how our judicial system works. I could have asked sooo many questions. . . And once again, Jefferson’s fingerprints are all over Williamsburg. He’s everywhere.so is Patrick Henry - we need to learn about him. . .
