Exploring Bandelier National Monument

#bandeliernationalmonument was the destination after a night in Santa Fe. We had no idea what to expect other than finding some cliff dwelling ruins to climb on - Mesa Verde is closed for climbing this late in the season. We had some ladders including the last one that warned of a 140 foot vertical climb! These #juniorranger kids completed their last for the trip and included a little fourth sibling today - his second "shunior ranger" ;). Cooper proudly identified some trees, watched birds climb trees, explored kivas and cave houses, discussed Pueblo life... we walked probably a good five miles and these kids didn't notice they explored all the way through lunch. A great last stop for the trip!
