Reclaiming Wonders
A person wearing khaki pants and a white shirt is standing atop a large rocky outcrop, overlooking a vast and breathtaking landscape. The scenery features a massive turquoise-colored lake or salt flat surrounded by arid, desert-like terrain and distant mountain ranges. The sky is a deep, brilliant blue, contrasting beautifully with the vibrant colors of the water and rocky terrain. The person appears to be casually taking in the stunning vista, possibly on a hiking or outdoor adventure.

Embracing Wanderlust: Exploring the Great Outdoors

Day 23: I rock field trips ;). Our school world is essentially one big field trip intermingled with books, math, and writing. This mom doesn’t stay home well, and thankfully, Dad wants us to go explore even if it means without him. . . As my oldest starts Challenge A cartography and the rest of us are doing U.S. geography this year, I’m daily reminded of the blessing it has been to travel around and see the places in real life. Landforms? Check. We’ve seen them and can reference the trip we were on or pull up old pictures. . . Some of our favorite places are museums and zoos and plays and state parks... And road trips to anywhere. And planes. Always planes ;) . . I’m the queen of planning our next adventure (even if the hubs has no idea of my schemes ;) ) and am always on the look out for a next local place to go. I’m starting to think wanderlust has some genetic components. . . Have audiobook. Will travel. . . Pic of K, 2017 climbing rocks at Great Salt Lake. Rockin’ the short hair after the great mixer tragedy ;)
