Nature's Science Classroom
Science curriculum? Don’t. Have. One. My son found a dead swallowtail butterfly the other day and brought it home. They drew it in their nature journals while I read books. Does that count?

Science is life. It’s everywhere. We do science sentence memory work through Classics Conversations that prompts discussion and books and deep dives all over the place. Other than that, there is no “science curriculum” sitting on my shelf. And they are fully schooled on all things science related. It. All. Counts.

Animals? Thank you, Wild Kratts and zoos. Earth science? Travel and real world. Botany and trees and plants? Gardening and nature and exploring. Dinosaurs? Museums. Lots of museums. Geology? Collecting rocks and digging rocks and have a kid who declares that’s her future career. Chemistry? Cooking and following directions and discussing nutrition - this biochemistry major would tell you lots and lots of following directions is what chemistry labs are anyway. Physics? Go climb a tree and use a pulley and build lots of stuff.

I admit chemistry and physics are lacking, but I’m pretty sure you didn’t have that until high school. And this science mom just doesn’t even know where to start ;)
