Child Admiring Impressionist Seascape

When driving to Texas, I look for free rest stops. Including free #birminghammuseumofart ... which might explain why the drive is taking so long ;). But worth it for a little Monet, Cassatt, Remington, and Sargent. And trying to expose the kids to nonEuropean art so they aren’t biased like their mother and grandmother. We did the show scavenger hunt, got reports from M on Greek mythology she spotted, found Candelabras like Beauty and the Beast, learned about still life’s with dead animals, watched African potter video, and didn’t annoy too many people ;) and that we don’t like modern art. And remembered the attention spans of small children! So much history to find for #classicalconversations including Samurai, MLK and the civil rights movement, World War 1... just keeps going...
