Children Planting Flower Bulbs

I’m going to remember these moments years from now when they are grownups. How the little engineer took the bulb depth measurements seriously and brought out a tape measure. Then marked each bulb with a vertical stick. Took him a long time ;). And how drama queen took me literally when I said to get something to dig only to plant crocus bulbs with a kitchen spoon. Little miss color worked hard and then decorated her plot of grass. And little carefree independent brother who worked hard and flung dirt everywhere... didn’t care about planning... just had fun. Those are our four personalities in description more accurate than anything. Unprompted opportunities to be themselves. And I just watch and giggle. PS: I know nothing about bulbs and have never attempted them. We will see how this nature experiment pans out in several months!
