Reclaiming Wonders
The image depicts a heartwarming scene of four children happily engaged in singing together on a bed in what appears to be a cozy cabin or vacation rental. The children are of varying ages, with two older boys sitting on the bed, one enthusiastically throwing his arms open in song, and two younger boys seated on the floor in front of them. They appear to be siblings or close friends, sharing a joyful moment of togetherness through music. The bed is neatly made with a plaid comforter, and the room has wooden walls and furniture, creating a warm and rustic ambiance. The scene exudes a sense of carefree childhood, sibling bonding, and the simple pleasure of making memories together through song.

Siblings' Musical Sing-along Memories

Bedroom door closed. Four kids missing. . “It’s okay. We’re getting along. We’re having a sing along.” Caught in the act of togetherness completely unscripted or with mom intervention. And I’m pretty sure all the other cabins around us knew it as well. . . Her Amazon musicals playlist. Four voices who know way too many words to way too many Musicals - as in can sing Joseph and his Amazing... by heart. The whole thing. West Side. Sound of Music. Wicked. Over and over. . . And I need to remember this is the why. So they have memories of singing their days away on that Colorado family trip. And hushing up quickly to not annoy Pop with all the loudness. And playing card games with Memma while singing and singing and singing. . . And that despite their grumbling and arguing —- they’re still each other’s favorite people. All day. Every day. No matter what.
