Boy Engrossed in Biographical Book Series

Boys and books… That’s such a hard one! This kid has discovered The Who Was books, and he wants to tell me all about them. He knows them and their details and their life. Biographies count even with a funny cartoon on the front! . I would have fought these books. Called them twaddle. But any book that makes my kids learn history that he willingly picks up and reads is worth it. . It works best if he’s already “met” the person through a morning time picture book. It’s a mind game with this one! . When Mom’s hiding and reading her own book, let that big kid come sit with you and read until midnight. Bonding time! And lots of sneaky narration. . Am I the only one who has to play mind tricks with their kids?!
