Reclaiming Wonders
The image depicts a group of African painted dogs, a species of wild canine, inside an enclosure at a zoo. Several of the dogs, with their distinctive irregular coat patterns of yellow, black, and white markings, can be seen walking or standing on a gravel path within the enclosure. The enclosure is surrounded by a chain-link fence, and there appears to be a grassy area and some shrubs or trees in the background. In the foreground, a person's hand or arm can be seen, suggesting that the image was taken from the visitor's side of the enclosure.

African Painted Dogs at the Zoo

My kids, especially Cooper, are fascinated with the African painted dogs at the zoo. Don't know why. We are usually at the zoo early in the morning so It was a surprise treat to see them and the tiger up moving instead of lounging around. It's supposed to be the other way I thought? Our homeschool lives would be so different if we weren't metropolitan with so many things to do. And not half as fun.
