Granted, there are dangerous areas, but for the most part, itā€™s very peaceful. They donā€™t even have an army! šŸ¦„Many people speak English. Yes, practice a few Spanish phrases, but youā€™ll get by okay. šŸ’You can drink the tap water. Fewer tummy problems to worry about means one less thing. šŸ¦ŽPaying is easy. Most places take credit card or US dollars. Definitely exchange some colones, but you donā€™t have to worry about always having it. šŸŒ“Costa Rica thrives on tourism, and make every effort to want you here! ā˜€ļøDriving is good with some decent highways. Granted, itā€™s not cheap, but itā€™s worth it to easily get around and see more. šŸŒ‹The people are amazingly friendly and laid back. Itā€™s like being welcomed into their home. šŸ„¾The ridiculous comforts of home are here. The cell signal is better than I have in Georgia, and there is strong wi-fi at hotels with US-size electric plugsā€¦ All your tech family needs. ā¤ļøVolcanoes. Rain forests. Tropical flowers.
