Granted, there are dangerous areas, but for the most part, it’s very peaceful. They don’t even have an army! 🦄Many people speak English. Yes, practice a few Spanish phrases, but you’ll get by okay. šŸ’You can drink the tap water. Fewer tummy problems to worry about means one less thing. šŸ¦ŽPaying is easy. Most places take credit card or US dollars. Definitely exchange some colones, but you don’t have to worry about always having it. 🌓Costa Rica thrives on tourism, and make every effort to want you here! ā˜€ļøDriving is good with some decent highways. Stick to the main roads, and you don’t need a 4x4. Thank goodness for Waze! šŸ„ā€ā™€ļøRenting a car is simple. We have a six person car with automatic transmission. Granted, it’s not cheap, but it’s worth it to easily get around and see more. šŸŒ‹The people are amazingly friendly and laid back. It’s like being welcomed into their home. 🄾The ridiculous comforts of home are here. The cell signal is better than I have in Georgia, and there is strong wi-fi at hotels with US-size electric plugs… All your tech family needs. ā¤ļøVolcanoes. Rain forests. Tropical flowers.
