Tips for Visiting The Enchantments in Washington

Are you visiting The Enchantments in Washington this summer? Here are some things I learned from going last June: šŸ  Lodging nearby fills up fast, and prices go up quickly. If youā€™re planning your summer trips already like me, book early šŸŽ« You need to register for a permit at the trailhead, even for day hiking šŸ•ļø Overnight permits can be secured beforehand, but the lottery is competitive. Thereā€™s a daily permit lottery. Arrive at the Wenatchee River Ranger Station at 8am & they draw for permits at 8:30am if youā€™re willing to pivot should you not get it Ty @erinphippstravels for the info! šŸ¦Ÿ There are TONS of mosquitos šŸæļø The chipmunks areā€¦ brave. One crawled in my backpack while we were jumping in the lake šŸ¦… We also saw a bald eagle and a mountain goat šŸ„¶ Colchuck lakeā€™s water is COLD, but Iā€™m sure youā€™ll want to jump in so bring a towel šŸ¤Leavenworth (the nearby town) is ADORABLE and I wish we wouldā€™ve spent more time there. Itā€™s mimics a traditional Bavarian Village and there are so many cute shops and restaurants. Are you planning a trip to Washington this summer? Portraits of me by @dashaslens
