The sparkle of NYC and the sunsets from Battery Park never get old ✨ Follow for more epic sunsets! I passed through this park everyday when I lived in New York. This was my first time back to the city for longer than 12 hours since I moved away and watching this sunset was a pretty surreal full circle moment. I left the city because I wanted to travel more of the world, build a business that would allow me to do so, and not be tied into astronomical rent and a lifestyle I simply wasn’t able to afford. Not. Once. Did I think “maybe traveling or my business will bring me back here.” It was so wild to watch the sunset from this park again and think about this version of myself who took the same 2 hour commute (each way) to work, who was dreaming constantly of the magic she knew the world had to offer, but couldn’t seem to find it in a way that felt like it was meant for her. I could go on but I’ll leave you with this. You never know where your current path, your past self, or your future self will cross over one another. So if you’re upset with your life or know there is magic out there for you to find and you just haven’t yet, think about moments where you’ll cross paths with an older version of your life and how proud you will feel for following what sets your soul on fire. Have you crossed paths with an old version of yourself and been blown away by it? #whatsetsyoursoulonfire #travelinspired #pursueyourdreams #newyorkcityfeelings #travelobsessed #citytravels
