Overcoming Solo Travel Fears
How did you get past your fears of traveling solo?
I get this question all the time so let’s break down a few thoughts that can hopefully get you out there too 👇🏻
Simply put, I was influenced and I lived in the feeling of being influenced. I watched other solo travelers and always thought to myself “ok other people are doing it, why can’t I?” And I lived in the comfortability of knowing that others were doing it instead of living in the fear. It feels a little bit like “what would xxx do?”
I ALWAYS think about the women who live in the areas and walk in the streets that I want to explore everyday and how if they do it everyday why can’t I join them for a while?
I let the FOMO fuel me. 😅 I don’t want to wake up when I’m 80 listening to other 80 year olds talk about how much of the world they’ve seen and about their wild experiences along the way. I want to contribute to those conversations!
What is your biggest fear or hesitation about traveling solo?
