One Day at Arches National Park: A Visitor's Itinerary
Arches National Park-One day itinerary! ✨
(Save this post for your Arches adventures and share it with your travel buddies!)
I had one day inside the park and I saw a lot so if figured why not share this quick trip with y’all in case you’re just passing through! And if you’re staying a bit longer you can spend more time in each spot 😁
The park essentially has one road and my first piece of advice is to drive to the end and work your way back to the entrance. That way if you run out of time you can kind of see everything from the road!
✨Devils Garden Trailhead-this trail has more then a few arches on it so if you have enough time in your day, do the whole thing, but if not definitely hike into landscape arch and back out! 😁
✨Fiery Furnace Viewpoint-this stop really had me itching to go explore the area but you need a guide to hike close to these structures. Stopping at the overlook is still really magical!
✨Delicate Arch-this is definitely a huge sunrise or sunset hike for most people but honestly it’s magical no matter the time of day! The hike took up a good chunk of my day so keep that in mind when planning. You can pass the trailhead parking lot and drive down the road a bit further to see it if you aren’t able to complete the hike. 😁
✨Panorama Point-simply a beautiful viewpoint!
✨Double Arch-driving back to this spot gives you some great views of Garden of Eden and lands you in a parking lot looking straight at double arch. It’s a short walk from the parking lot to this epic spot but if you don’t have time to make that walk, it’s beautiful from the parking lot too!
✨Courthouse Towers Viewpoint-these grand towers really make you feel small driving by but stopping and getting out of the car to look at them really let’s you feel the magic of their size!
Disclaimer and a key tip: I completed this itinerary while visiting in February so hiking all day was not a problem. I did visit again in the summer and my advice would be not to hike from approximately 11am-3pm as it’s scalding hot and makes enjoying the sights a bit more difficult!
What season would you prefer to visit the desert in?
