It’s okay to grow, change, and be you ✨ “We play the game of comparing ourselves to others while allowing society to tell us where we should be and who we should be based on a made up list of ‘successes’ that doesn’t think of people as individuals. You are your own person, you aren’t someone who’s story should be told by the date on your birth certificate, your relationship status, the money in your bank account, or a made up finish line of success.” I found this in my notes this morning and I don’t know where I was in life or what triggered this response but I can tell you I was definitely feeling the pressure of the world in that moment. What makes us as individuals isn’t how similar our lives are to the masses, it’s how we love, how we see the world, and what sets our souls on fire. And that can change from 9 to 19 to 29 to 89 and IT IS OKAY for that change to happen. Follow what feels good and ignore the rest.
