Turning Your Passion into a Career Takes Full Commitment

Most creators severely underestimate the amount of effort it takes to make your passion your career. If you want to make content creation your career, you have to treat it like… your career. I know shocking! Because guess what, the rest of the pros that you are competing against are treating it like a real job (despite what you may see) and have put in the time and effort to learn the communication skills and processes required. You are going against the grain. Everything in society says to fall in line and get a job so you can pay your bills, so you have to put even more effort the other direction in order to truly make a career in the creative industry. It’s not normal so don’t expect it to be easy. Unfortunately there’s a lot of misinformation designed to sell courses out there. People make it look easy, like it’s just sending a few emails and then poof you’re living a vacation dream. I’ve talked to plenty of creators over the past few weeks that are extremely talented, but will never go full time because they refuse to commit and refuse to put in the work required to go full time. It’s unfortunate because their creative skills are top notch, but they don’t want to do what’s required to actually make a living. Being a good photographer is one thing, being a good photographer who gets PAID well and can support his family is a completely different story. One can be accomplished fairly quickly, the other requires full commitment. If you’re ready to go all in on your dream, DM create cause I’d love to help you get there!
