Trusting God in Difficult Situations
One of the biggest misconceptions is that God will never give you something you can’t handle. -
There’s an expectation gap. We assume something about God that isn’t accurate. At a time like this it’s easy for us to fall into the ideology that God will not give us anything beyond what we can bear. It’s encouraging, it makes for good instagram posts, it’s cute, but it’s not accurate. -
Throughout history God has continually put people in situations that they can’t bear. For sake of example take David, a teenage boy going up against a giant with no armor and a stone. You think he could handle that? Absolutely not! -
Here’s the context. God won’t lead you into situations you can’t bear but will provide you with an escape. What does that mean? God won’t allow us to live a life that makes Him unnecessary. At some point or another we will face a situation that we can’t deal with on our own and we have 2 choices. -
Either 1. Put full trust in Him and work through it like it depends on us, or 2. Try to do it ourselves and crush under the pressure. -
We all have expectations, especially now, we just have to make sure that they are accurate. -
Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 - •
