The Power of Systems for Freelancers

Your results are a direct indication of your systems. As a freelance photographer, I find that implementing systems is something I never really thought of until recently. I would basically treat myself as the jack of all trades in my business from sales and marketing, to shooting, to post production, accounting and taxes. This left little time for me to do anything else besides business related activities which is kinda why I didn’t want to have a normal job in the first place. Haha who can relate? Anyway, since creating my agency I’ve been discovering more and more the need for repeatable systems, automation, and outsourcing. For the longest time I had a mindset that if it’s my company I need to be doing all the things, but that’s just so wrong. No big company operates that way, it’s not sustainable and it’s not scalable. So here’s 3 things that I’m currently working on implementing to take repeatable tasks off my plate. 1. Automating repeated tasks. This includes things like client email sequences, call scheduling, sales processes, contracts, invoices, etc. 2. Outsourcing work that needs to be done but can be done by someone else. This includes things like lead generation, and soon to be reel/TikTok editing. 3. Batch creation. This isn’t necessarily an automation thing, but I find that I have so much more time when I batch create vs. spending 1-2 hrs every day working on something. I know this doesn’t work for everyone but I’ve been loving it. I’m curious if anyone else has any automation/outsourcing tips? Drop em in the comments! Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 • • • • •
