A picturesque beach scene captures a person walking along the shoreline, with a towering palm tree swaying gently in the foreground. The white sandy beach stretches endlessly, meeting the turquoise waters of the calm ocean. Fluffy white clouds dot the vibrant blue sky, creating a serene and idyllic atmosphere. The palm tree's fronds are a lush green, contrasting beautifully against the azure hues of the sea and sky. The person, seemingly lost in thought, takes a leisurely stroll, their footprints leaving temporary impressions on the pristine sand.

The Paradox of Authenticity

The paradox of authenticity. - I feel like that word -authentic - has sort of been hijacked lately. Like people are now trying to “appear authentic”, when authenticity is really a way of life. It’s not a show or an act, it’s who you are. - Artists always strive for 2 things, authenticity and originality. The problem is the more you aspire to be original and authentic, the more you look to sources of people who embody those characteristics, and inevitably you start replicating them. By nature those two aspects cannot be replicated because if they are, they no longer are original and authentic. - But the good news is they don’t have to. You were created to be unique, and as such have every ability to be original and authentic. The question is, will you let yourself, or will you allow your work to be defined by what you think other people like, or what’s popular, or what’s going to get exposure? - Be who you were created to be. Create what you were created to create and the rest will fall into place. - Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 - • • • • • •
