A breathtaking sunset scene captured on a tropical beach. The sky is painted with vibrant shades of orange, red, and pink, blending seamlessly with the deep blue hue overhead. A slender crescent moon hangs delicately in the evening sky. The sandy beach stretches out towards the calm waters, reflecting the stunning colors of the sunset like a mirror. Tall palm trees sway gently in the background, their silhouettes adding a touch of elegance to the setting. In the foreground, a lone figure stands in the shallow water, casting a long shadow on the wet sand. The figure appears to be taking in the tranquil beauty of the moment, creating a serene and contemplative atmosphere.

The Importance of Self-Control Over Self-Esteem

The self esteem movement has directly contributed to the most miserable, directionless, and least wise generation in history. - Culture glorifies bad habits under the guise of “be yourself” and “follow your heart” and “if it feels good do it” but nothing could be further from the truth. How you feel about something doesn’t determine it’s morality, and often times this mentality leaves people in a directionless rut later down the road. - Instead of pushing self esteem we should teach self control. The more you resist things that may be instantaneously pleasurable but have long term negative effects, the better off you’ll be. The goal should never be to justify bad habits because you are being yourself, rather it should be to learn self control so you can avoid the pain of consequence in the future. - Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 - • • • • •
