Sustainable Lifestyle vs Gap Year

“I don’t care about money, I just want the lifestyle” I get it. I was there too, and if you’re 24 living in a super cheap country or just doing collab projects around the world then that makes sense. But chances are you’re not gonna want to do that the rest of your life. The world is only getting more expensive and $3000/ mo can barely afford a decent standard of life in most western countries for a single person let alone a family. At some point you’ll be met with a decision. Either… 1. get a normal “safe” job that you probably don’t enjoy and dream about the days of your gap year (or years) where you could be free but then realize you only get 2 weeks to do that every year moving forward. 2. Figure out a way to make a decent living doing what you love to do so that you can live the lifestyle you want to live. For me I came to this realization a few years ago. I realized that although it was fun getting free trips and living super cheap, it wasn’t sustainable. I didn’t see myself as a 45 year old still wanting to scrape by on less than minimum wage so I had to make a change. That’s why I learned sales, marketing, offer creation, systems and team building: so I could build a business doing what I loved that would be there for the long haul. I don’t know about you but I didn’t get into this industry to have a gap year. I got into it because I eat breathe and sleep it and I can’t imagine myself doing anything else.
