Finding Motivation Within: Embrace the Vision
Motivation is over rated. -
I used to be super into watching hype videos and listening to self-help podcasts to get me motivated to do whatever I was planning on doing, but I found that it only made me procrastinate more. I was reliant on these things to stir my emotions to actually do something, rather than being stoked by the project or the journey I was on, so I realized something had to change. -
The longer you plan, the harder it is to take action. The longer you sit and wait for motivation or inspiration to hit you, the harder it is to start. Now don’t get me wrong, there are definitely some extremely inspiring people out there that have pushed me to be where I am today, so I’m not saying motivation is useless, but I am saying don’t treat it like a drug. -
It’s not something that you take a hit of every few hours to keep going. It’s something that is extremely powerful and when used at the right time, has the ability to push you further than you could ever imagine. But if you need it to do everything, it becomes addictive. You become reliant on it and will end up using it as “productive procrastination” -
Stay motivated by the vision and the why. When you know what you’re aiming towards and why you want it, you won’t need as much external motivation because you’ll be focused on the goal. -
Be blessed and stay stoked 😎🤙 -
In other news, I got a HUGE announcement I’ll be revealing a little later today so stay tuned to the stories :)
