Connection Over Quality for Brand Content

You are not paid in correlation to the quality of your work šŸ‘‡ I know extremely talented creators who struggle to make a living from it their business, and I also know creators who make 20k/mo with UGC. The sooner you can understand that connection is king, the sooner youā€™ll be able to create the type of work brands need, and the sooner youā€™ll be able to create content that brands want to pay you for. In the end thereā€™s 2 types of content. Content that gets attention (viral, ads, etc) and content that builds connection (branding, nurturing). Not every video needs to go viral to be effective but every piece of content needs to have a purpose. Therefore the purpose and intention for WHY you are creating the content and HOW it will achieve the result set out in the why becomes the ultimate goal. Making cinematic compilations might show off your creative skills but does little to drive purchasing decisions unless itā€™s paired with a story. Something that related to the person consuming the content. In the same way, UGC videos donā€™t do much to drive action unless theyā€™re paired with a story. A piece of content that ā€œworksā€ will always take users through a story, a narrative or something that engages them to learn more or go deeper. Whether thatā€™s shot on a red or an iPhone is up to your discretion. Be blessed and stay stoked šŸ˜ŽšŸ¤™
