Embracing the Cold: Journey Towards Discomfort

Waterfall related goal for my bday in a couple weeks: In this next chapter I want to become more comfortable being uncomfortable in cold waters 🥶💧💦❄️. My boyfriend and I love going to Russian spas, alternating the hot saunas with 46 degree cold plunges for hours (feels amazing and removes toxins from your body.) The cold doesn’t bother me then because I can get warm instantly. Regularly surfing in cold temps regardless of weather, hiking out freezing from an alpine lake or waterfall, scuba diving the PNW, joining the Saturday morning Alki beach winter swims in the sound… these are things I want to lean into advancing on this journey towards becoming comfortable being uncomfortable. I want to jump in and feel the rush of life pulse through my veins as often as possible. Any tips? Lol
