Kids Activities
A whimsical craft project in the shape of a monkey's face, made from a terra cotta-colored Styrofoam cup and craft materials. The cup serves as the monkey's body, with a beige circular face painted on the front. Two simple black dots represent the eyes, and a curved black line creates the mouth. Curly brown chenille stems or pipe cleaners protrude from the sides of the cup, forming the monkey's ears. The craft has a playful and child-like appearance, inviting imaginative playtime or display as a handmade puppet or decoration.

Monkey Puppet Craft for Kids

Go bananas with your kids today! This activity is a fun way to spend time with your little monkey. When it’s done, they can put their craft on display or play with it on their hand like a puppet. My kiddos come up with the funniest monkey adventures…what will your kiddo come up with? Supplies: Acrylic Paint and brushes Chenille stems or pipe cleaners Tools: pencil, craft scissors, sticky tape Styrofoam cup Directions: Paint the cup brown to make the monkey body. Next, paint the face with a lighter brown. If you don’t have a lighter brown color just mix white paint with the brown you have. Once the face is dry kids can paint the face of their monkey on with black paint. Finally, cut pieces of your pipe cleaners, bend them into an ear shape and stick them into the cup. You can add a bit of tape to the inside of the cup to help keep them in place if they fall out.
