Day 7 of 30: Write. Journal. It doesn’t matter if you’re “not a writer”. Everyone who knows how to write can do this. #30daysofdistancing
••
There is a concept called “morning pages”, where the goal is to write three pages (around 750 words) of whatever passes through your head in the morning. Without correcting things, without judging anything.
••
Although I found the idea a little New Age-y at first, I started doing it and found it INCREDIBLY helpful. It serves almost as a morning purge of all those little thoughts and worries and nagging things going through your head, so you can start the day on a cleaner slate.
••
A lot of people have a jumble of anxieties and emotions at the moment. Start writing. Write everything out. The small things, the profound things, the things that sound ridiculous. I guarantee you, it helps.
••
You will keep yourself centered and sane with this exercise. As one of my favorite quotes says, “the best way out is always through”.
