A large crowd of people is gathered in an urban setting, on a street intersection surrounded by buildings. Many people are standing, holding signs and raising their fists in the air, suggesting a protest or demonstration. The scene appears vibrant and energetic, with people of various ages and backgrounds participating. Jacaranda trees in full purple bloom line the streets, adding a splash of color to the scene. A storefront with the name 'Shrees' is visible in the background.

It’s easy to feel disheartened sometimes. But getting out on the streets and seeing an entire community supporting a cause feels powerful. I love my neighborhood. Whether marching on the streets, honking and chanting from passing cars, supporting from the nearby stores and homes - everyone was on board. •• Remember that today, three more cops were charged in aiding and abetting, and George Floyd’s killer’s charge was upgraded to second degree murder. •• It’s a small first step but it’s a step in the right direction. Protesting, pressure on elected officials, demanding change, holding people accountable...it does work. It works imperfectly and sometimes excruciatingly slowly. It’s a neverending fight. But moments like this, repeated over and over again, give us progress. •• Don’t back down. . . . . .
