In a very uncertain and tense time in the US, visiting #Washington DC was a little breath of fresh air.

I remembered all the sacrifices that have been made over the years by those who came before us, in wartime, for civil rights, to keep moving forward and making a better society for all.

Standing alone at night at the war memorials, revisiting the words of Lincoln, touring the National Museum of African American History - we can never be truly lost while people are still willing to fight for what's right.
