Learning about the plants and trees of Parnitha in Greece, along with @trekking_hellas and @discover.greece . 📸: @nik_oik
I was looking at this photo before posting and noticed some things that would usually bother me. The under eye circles, my nose red from the cold, hair’s a mess, etc, etc.
But part of the freedom of getting lost in nature is not being worried about looking perfect while hiking through a mountain.
Not sure if anyone else has felt this, but spending a lot of days at home in super casual clothes and make up free in 2020 has made me a lot less self-conscious of my 100% natural look than usual.
It’s interesting to note, whether we’re in nature or in quarantine, how much we actually want to dress up or alter ourselves when impressing/looking good for other people stops being a factor. In the socially distanced world of 2020 that’s been a big thought in my head: what do we really do for ourselves, and what do we do for others without even realizing it?
If you want to help me procrastinate on a Monday, let me know your thoughts below!
