Throwback to one of the best hikes I’ve been on - to the top of an island in the middle of Lake George. •• I think the moment that stands out the most is when I reached up to scramble over a rock ledge, and saw a long black snake on the rock face where I was about to place my hand. •• Lesson: sometimes you must take the long way around. Second lesson: always check which local snakes are poisonous BEFORE any hikes. •• Killer view though. . . . . .
